He has original ideas that work with the site, our tastes (that he gets to know right away), and our income restrictions. From his enormous depth of experience, he thinks of EVERYTHING — from design options, to what won’t work for any number of structural or economic reasons, to what alternatives to our plans would better take advantage of all the factors and possibilities. We started with a plan that he helped us modify to give us a finished product that was exactly what we wanted.
